Barefoot’s Terms & Conditions

1. Payment: Full payment is required at check-out during reception business hours. Payment is accepted in cash only, in LKR or EUR.
2. Group Bookings: We do not accept group bookings of any kind. Barefoot Hiriketiya is exclusively for SOLO backpackers ONLY. Any reservation made for more than one guest, or multiple reservations made by the same individual to bypass this policy, will be considered a group booking and will be cancelled immediately without prior notice. Barefoot Ahangama accepts bookings up to 2 persons maximum 
3. Smoking Policy: Smoking is prohibited inside the rooms and dormitories. Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
4. Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are strictly observed between 23:00 and 07:00.
5. Check-in: Guests may check in between 14:00 and 20:00.
6. Check-out: Check-out must be completed before 11:00.
7. Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued for early departures.
8. Visitors: Outside visitors are not permitted on the property after 18:00.
9. Prohibited Substances: The use or possession of drugs is strictly prohibited on the property.
10. Pets: Only the hostel’s dogs are allowed on the property; no other animals are permitted.
11. Age Restriction: Guests must be 18 years or older. Children are not allowed.
12. Guest Behavior: Guests are expected to act responsibly and respectfully. The property reserves the right to ask guests to leave without a refund if their behavior is deemed unreasonable or disruptive.
13. Disturbances: To maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, sexual activity is not permitted in shared or private rooms.
14. Damages: Any damages, breakages, or rooms left in an unreasonable state will incur charges.
15. Towel Policy: Lost or damaged hostel towels will result in a 2,000 LKR charge.
16. Liability: The property is not liable for injuries or accidents caused by the guest.
17. Third-Party Services: The property is not responsible for third-party services such as laundry, scooter rentals, or taxis, even if recommended.
18. Cancellation Policy: Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the arrival date. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged. A temporary cancellation deposit (pre-authorization) may be required to guarantee the reservation and will only be fully charged in case of a late cancellation or no-show.
19. Bed Allocation: Only one person is allowed per bed.
20. Ocean Rocks: The rocks near the ocean at Barefoot Hiriketiya are not part of the property, and access is restricted for all guests. The property is not liable for any damages, accidents, or injuries occurring there.
21. Minimum Stay: A minimum stay of 2 nights applies to all bookings.
22. Ice Bath: Guests use the ice bath at their own risk. The hostel accepts no liability for any injuries, health problems, or damages that may occur while using the ice bath.
